This new partnership enables Terra Visus to make ROVR’S high-definition, street-level imagery and LiDAR data available to their customers for immediate license for use across many sectors, such as smart mobility, urban planning, digital twins, and autonomous vehicles. With over twenty million UKM’s of roads driven in over fifty countries, ROVR is redefining how street-level data is collected, verified, and distributed. By leveraging a decentralised network of devices and contributors, and rewarding participation, ROVR is creating a more scalable, transparent, and up-to-date alternative to traditional mobile mapping solutions. “Partnering with ROVR is a major step forward in bringing our shared vision of making street-level imagery and LiDAR data easily accessible to those who need it. This partnership allows us to increase the volume and coverage of high-quality data that is available to our customers at the click of a button, empowering important projects across many industries all over the world”, said Andrew Baddeley, Chief Operating Officer at Terra Visus. Chris Campbell, Lead Solutions Architect at ROVR, stated, “We’re excited to partner with Terra Visus to advance decentralised, high-resolution 3D mapping. This collaboration reflects our shared belief in open data, open infrastructure, and the power of community-driven mapping.” This partnership aims to give customers even more choice of high-quality, pre-captured street-level imagery that is readily available for license from Terra Visus, setting new standards for how people interact with places using data and digital assets. The data unlocks new opportunities for those who require high-quality, scalable geospatial content to power next-generation applications.
